We are looking for a Fraud Investigation Officer to join our local authority client

Investigation Officer for Social Housing fraud with 2 years general fraud experience and 12 month Social Tenancy Fraud Investigation experience.

We require an experienced investigator who will maintain a high standard of investigations, use their initiative to lawfully gather admissible evidence, draft concise reports for housing officers and other decision makers, and prepare case files for prosecution.

The job will involve working 36 hours a week, five working days per week. The role will involve site visits to residential and commercial addresses early morning and in the evenings.

The suitable candidate would have:
At least two years’ experience working as a fraud officer,
Investigated social tenancy fraud for at least 12 months,
Up to date working knowledge of relevant legislation including POSHFA,
A modern knowledge of utilising open-source intelligence techniques,
Suitable skills to interview witnesses and suspects,
An up to date DBS.
Experience of using NAFN and Incase Intelligence would be useful.

Additional Skills:

Extra Hours Information: We require 36 hours (maximum) across five working days. Some early mornings and evening work will be required, with earlier finishes or later starts to the working day on those occasions.

The contract is for an initial six months period and the pay is £25 per hour PAYE or £31.44 limited
